Hello, Madaari is a 2016 Indian thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. The screenplay was written by Kamat and Abhijit Panse.The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role with Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Esha Mumbaiwala in the pivotal supporting roles. It is based on the story of an average Mumbai citizen who buys a revolver to shoot politician who had assaulted him but finds himself on an ill-fated collision course with destiny when he gets caught up in a terrorist attack that same day. The film released on 12 July 2016. In a crowded neighborhood in South Mumbai, a milkman named Vakil risks his life to save a child from being run over by a speeding car. The driver turns out to be an underworld don named Kaala Bhairava who has been absconding from the law for the past few months. The crowd gathers around and tries to catch hold of him but he manages to escape. As Vakil walks through the road, dressed in a white shirt with a blue Dharma Dharma cap on his head, he sees this same don, sitting inside his car which was parked at the traffic signal more than 100 meters away from where he was standing earlier. Kaala Bhairava smirks at Vakil who then turns away. Vakil, a happily married man with two children, lives in a chawl with his family. He has been the victim of many criminal activities in the past but has always managed to save himself from them through his wit and intelligence. However, this time he is assigned by his boss Mahendra Shrivastav, to deliver the weapon which he recovered from Kaala Bhairava's car, to another person named Vijay Singh Thakur. He takes the revolver home where he hides it in a drawer where he keeps toys for his daughter Pihu's birthday party. A few days later, Vakil's daughter is about to celebrate her birthday party. The family has invited a lot of guests and they are all excited. His wife is busy getting ready for the party and asks him to go out and buy kaju barfi for the special guests who will be attending the party. Vakil does so, but gets caught in heavy traffic on his way back home making him late by about 15 minutes. When he reaches home, Pihu along with her younger brother already have their gifts open. The family takes photographs as they enjoy their time together celebrating Pihu's birthday. Vakil tells the guests that all the presents will be opened when he comes back. After reaching home, Vakil notices that his wife is upset and upset that she is unable to control Pihu's behavior. She begins to criticize Pihu for creating this scene in front of everyone. Vakil reminds her of the party where people are smiling and having fun. She replies by saying that Pihu has ruined it for everyone by making a scene in front of everybody, but Vakil assures her that it will be okay again because he will handle things this time around.
